During the latest IGN Voice Chat Podcast, Matt Casamassina said that Wii Motion Plus is being delayed until after June because they’re still having some problems. This is still a rumor, but if it’s true this may cause a delay for Wii Sports Resort. This would also explain why Wii Motion Plus and Wii Sports Resort weren’t on Nintendo’s latest press release.

Here’s the video footage of the announcement of Wii Sports Resort yesterday during Nintendo’s E3 press conference in case you missed it. The video shows some nice footage of the game and the Wii Motion Plus accessory.
Yesterday Nintendo announced Wii Sports Resort, the sequel on the popular Wii-game Wii Sports that comes standard with the Wii-console. Today a Nintendo rep gave us a price indication for the game. Wii Sports Resort will be bundled with Wii Motion Plus and will cost $49.99 when it comes out in 2009.
During its E3 2008 press conference, Nintendo announced a sequel to the world’s best selling game ever. Wii Sports Resort is a brand new sports title in development at Nintendo exclusively for Wii. The game uses Nintendo’s Wii Motion Plus technique to make the game even more realistic than the first Wii Sports game. Wii Sports Resort takes us to a warm sunny beach to play minigames like throwing frisbees to your dog and racing with jetski’s.
